Children’s Therapy Unit
Services: Sibshop
Sibshop is a program for typically developing brothers and sisters who have a sibling with a disability or chronic health condition. The program is sponsored through the Children’s Therapy Unit (CTU) and the Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary.
The Sibshop Program is a highly regarded and award-winning workshop model that has been replicated in more than 200 hundred communities in eight countries.
For Good Samaritan and CTU, the Sibshop Program exemplifies our focus on family-centered care. Sibshop facilitators include occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, child psychologists and recreation therapists.
Typically, Sibshops for 5- to 11-year-olds are held one Saturday per month and Sibshops for 12- to 17-year-olds are held one Thursday evening per month.
