Dr. Richard C. Ostenson Cancer Center at Good Samaritan—Inpatient Care
Good Samaritan offers a wide variety of diagnostic,
radiation, chemotherapy and surgical treatments for people with cancer.
We also offer radioactive seed implants, stem-cell transplants and immunotherapy
when appropriate.
Our inpatient oncology (cancer) Unit is located on the fourth floor of Good Samaritan Hospital. The unit has 23 beds (private and semi-private) dedicated to cancer care. We have heart monitors on the unit with telemetry support from our special care unit (SCU). A pharmacy is also located within the oncology floor.
Families are encouraged to visit, and the unit has a liberal visiting policy. Each patient room has sleeper chairs for family members. A family room and kitchen are available for patient and family use. The unit also offers music, massage and pet therapies to enhance patient care.
