Blood transfusions can be lifesaving, but are associated with significant risks. As a result of these risks, personal preferences, and religious beliefs, some patients choose to receive transfusion free medical and surgical services. In response, Good Samaritan has developed a team approach to ensure the best possible outcomes when the decision has been made to avoid blood transfusions.
